Our Story
Flinders Farm Gate is a small, family owned and operated farm
in Flinders on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
Set on 84 acres and accompanied by three kids, 2 kooky pups and some cranky alpacas, we specialise in growing garlic and cut flowers regeneratively, with the health of our soil and customers always front of mind.
Our journey started in 2013 when we traded the hustle and bustle of inner-city Melbourne for a slower-paced life in picturesque Flinders.
We swapped suits for muddy boots and started growing garlic which we turned into black garlic that featured on the menus of many restaurants across the peninsula. After the pandemic we decided to focus on fresh garlic and slowly incorporated flowers into our
growing area as well. Our farm has been evolving ever since to include sunflower pick your own and a new berry orchard.
We farm using regenerative principles to grow the highest quality produce while looking after and improving our soil.
REGENERATIVE - PUTTING SOIL FIRST
We farm using regenerative principles to grow the highest qualitY PRODUCE.
WE BELIEVE IN PUTTING THE HEALTH OF OUR FARM FIRST, FARMING WITH INTEGRITY AND TRANSPARENCY AND CONNECTING CUSTOMERS WITH REAL FARMERS.
FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED
We are a small, family owned and run farm.
Our entire crop is planted, tended and harvested by hand. It’s a big job and one we absolutely love!
WE ACKNOWLEDGE THE ELDERS PAST AND PRESENT OF THE BUNURONG & BOON WURRUNG PEOPLE; THE ORIGINAL CUSTODIANS OF THE LAND ON WHICH WE LIVE AND GROW.
